Speech Pathology Melbourne
Did You Know?
During the initial assessment, your Speech Pathologist at Stephanie Crawford & Associates will talk with you about what you or your child has trouble with. They will also ask you about your child’s development, including medical history, and whether anyone else in your family has speech or language problems. They might also complete a formal assessment and talk to other people involved (such as teachers).

What is a Speech Pathologist?

Speech Pathologists (also called Speech Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists) are specialists who can diagnose and treat communication disorders, including difficulties with speech (production of speech sounds), language (the words and sentences we use and understand), social or pragmatic skills (how to use language in social situations), fluency (stuttering) and voice problems. Speech pathologists can also work with people who have difficulties with chewing and/or swallowing.
